We are looking for a Front Office Supervisor at The Retreat Palm Dubai Mgallery By Sofitel. Front Office Supervisor ensure that all front office and guest services team members receive adequate training in all Front Desk policies and procedures. They assist the Front Office Manager in motivating the team and participate in the training and development of all Front Office staff. Front Office Supervisors make sure all arrivals are blocked and evens out the house count. They check arrivals of VIP guests, are in charge of possible upgrades and have the concierge team deliver note cards to guestrooms per hotel chain standards. They verify the accuracy of the cash drawers at the beginning of the shift and supervise the close-out of shift work and cash at the end of the shift. Front Office Supervisors communicate all important information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition through the Front Desk logbook.

Front Office Supervisor Responsibilities

Provide outstanding services and ensure customer satisfaction.
Address customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
Respond to customer needs and requests in a timely manner.
Answer phone switchboards and transfer calls and take messages.
Manage incoming and outgoing mails and faxes.
Post charges to customers and handle card and cash transactions.
Plan and assign workloads for front office associates.
Supervise associates in their assigned job duties.
Prepare operational and financial records for Manager to review.
Identify resource requirements and manage resource allocations to ensure complete coverage and continuous availability.
Assist in hiring and training associates in front office duties.
Evaluate the performance of associates and provide appropriate feedback.
Ensure associates follow company policies and operational procedures.
Schedule regular meetings to discuss about issues and updates.
Educate associates on safety, emergency and security procedures.

Requirements:

A positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Experience of motivating and leading a winning team.
Preferably most in the UAE and have a transferable visa.
Ability to remain calm whilst under pressure. Knowledge of Opera / Fidelio / Other world Class Property Management System is required.
Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset or Graduates bachelor degree and/or diploma in hotel or other related field. Computer Knowledge and experience in MS office programs.
Minimum 2 to 3 years work experience as Front Office Associate / Front office cashier in a hotel.
